FIG. 04·Method
How a job actually goes.
Written out in full, because the parts people worry about are usually the parts nobody explains.
FIG. 01
You book in about two minutes
Online or by phone. In summer dispatch runs around the clock, and whoever answers can see who is on shift and where they are, so the window you are given is a real one rather than a hopeful one.
FIG. 02
We measure before we diagnose
Superheat, subcooling, static pressure, temperature split and amp draw. Those numbers separate a low charge from a failing compressor from a duct problem. Looking at the unit and having an opinion does not.
FIG. 03
You get the price in writing, before we start
The price is agreed before we start, and it does not move. It covers the work described, not the hours it takes us. If we open something up and find a different job, we stop and re-quote rather than adding it to the invoice.
FIG. 04
We commission it and hand you the readings
Charge verified, airflow set to spec, static pressure measured, temperature split confirmed at the registers. You get the numbers in writing. An uncommissioned system quietly loses a large slice of the efficiency you paid for.
FIG. 05
It is guaranteed, and the guarantee is short enough to read
Two years on our labour, and whatever the manufacturer gives on the equipment. If the same fault comes back inside that, we come back and it costs you nothing.
When it goes wrong
Because sometimes it does.
Occasionally a repair does not hold, a component fails early, or we read a system wrong. It is a trade carried out in other people’s homes on equipment we cannot fully see, and anybody claiming a perfect record is either new or not counting.
What we can control is what happens next. Call the office and ask for the owner — not a ticket number, not a form. If it is our workmanship inside two years, we come back and it costs you nothing. If it is the equipment, we deal with the manufacturer on your behalf rather than handing you a phone number.
And if we genuinely got it wrong, we will say so in those words. That is cheaper for everyone than the alternative.
The number
The price is agreed before we start, and it does not move.
Every price on this site is what you would actually pay for that work, not a starting point that grows once somebody is on the roof.
Dispatch
No cooling right now?
June through September a person answers around the clock, and there is no after-hours rate. If anyone in the house is vulnerable to the heat, say so when you call.
